Fairness as Architecture

Spawn is built off-chain specifically to remove the extraction surface that on-chain launchpads inherit by default. The fairness isn't a rule. It's a property of The Spawn Engine - Spawn's off-chain bonding curve execution layer.

The On-Chain Extraction Problem

Public blockchains have one structural property that creates the launch fairness problem: every pending transaction is visible before it executes, and block ordering is open to manipulation. This isn't a flaw platforms can patch - it's the environment.

Sophisticated actors exploit it not by breaking rules, but by using the infrastructure exactly as designed. Bundlers coordinate wallets to capture early supply. MEV searchers reorder transactions to extract value. Gas auctions let well-capitalised participants buy queue position. The result is a structural advantage for anyone with the technical sophistication to use it, at the expense of everyone else.

Spawn is built off-chain specifically to remove this surface. There's no public mempool to surveil, no block ordering to manipulate. The extraction vectors don't need to be prevented. They have nowhere to operate.

What Spawn Eliminates by Design

MEV extraction

On most on-chain platforms, validators and searchers reorder transactions within a block to extract value. This happens invisibly, at the expense of ordinary participants. The Spawn Engine has no mempool - there's no transaction ordering to exploit.

Bundling attacks

Bundlers coordinate multiple wallets to acquire large early supply positions, then sell into rising community demand. The Spawn Engine makes this structurally impossible - not difficult, not discouraged. Impossible.

Queue-jumping

On-chain gas bidding lets well-capitalised participants guarantee their transactions execute before others. The Spawn Engine handles execution without a gas auction. Queue position isn't for sale.

What's Left

Equal footing. Every participant - regardless of wallet count, capital size, or technical sophistication - operates in the same market with the same execution conditions.

This isn't idealism. It's a design choice that makes Spawn's price discovery more accurate: when extraction is impossible, prices reflect actual conviction.
